Megan's Head

A place where Megan gets off her head.

Post Script

A friend of mine, who lives far away, reads my blog and she had this to say about my thoughts on Wrestlers. "I read your review and think you should let rip and lose the slight apologetic tone and trust in your reviewing instinct. %@#$ those morons, they should be banished from your consciousness."

She is right. My thoughts on Wrestlers, although completely honest, were constrained and formal and (let’s face it) dead boring. Do you have to be a Dorothy Parker bitch to be interesting? I suppose the reality is that I should have been thinking about how "words have effects" as Sharon so clearly put it in Shez Sharon.

But then, the whole point of writing this blog was to call a spade a spade. I have Sharon’s voice in my head. She would have said, "But not everybody wants to be a spade." And that’s the truth. I am going to have to figure out a solution to this conundrum.

In the meantime I am going to try and be braver.

I have to say that I felt the same as your distant friend but didn’t say anything because I think that the whole NewSpace thing has affected you more than you let on and you don’t need to have it piled on your shoulders anymore. I too say &^%$ them and the horses they rode into town on and the dogs that followed the horses. Not only are you entitled to your opinion but your opinion is sought by a lot of us – so go, girl : let rip. Honesty is the onlty criteria and there I don’t doubt you one bit.

  2. Tante B

I agree totally with the abov mentioned comments.

  3. American/Canadian scholar & politician Sam Hayakawa said: “I’m going to speak my mind because I have nothing to lose.” The worst thing that can happen is that roadragers (real or metaphorical) will manage to intimidate people and force them to keep quiet or dilute their voice. Calling a spade a spade is what you do.

    >> I too say &^%$ them and the horses they rode into town …..
    I agree fully, Saint!

Post-scriptum: spade-calling is an age-old noble activity – almost as age-old and noble as &*^&ing.

I always read and see/hear what you are saying. It is interresting and I want to know. I am also quite a GROOT BEK and I say: who want to listen, let them listen and who dont…,well then dont.
