Megan's Head

A place where Megan gets off her head.

Try get a Cape Town business to actually do it!

And by that I mean actually order, stock and then sell something!

Ok, I’ve had a really horrible day; with an endlessly barking dog across the road, the filling out of forms, a visit to the local police station to certify copies of my ID, my bank card getting swallowed by the machine, having to go back to the bank and then having to wait another hour, staring at that lying poster of the damn, beautiful, thin girl in the damn green field where Nedbank implies that by joining them you will “Verbeter jouself.” I mean, can they just cut the bullshit while I stand in the queue again to get my card that their #$%^*^% machine ate!

Then Big Friendly tells me about this amazing new album.

Los Angeles – Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant and bluegrass singer Alison Krauss dominated the Grammy awards, grabbing five prizes for their groundbreaking rock-country collaboration Raising Sand.

It has hit the music scene hugely, all over the world, but Look and Listen in Cape Town are not getting it. They haven’t ordered it and they don’t care how badly you want it. So, they would rather not make the sale. I don’t know. Seems like the exact opposite way to do business to me. At least we’ve been able to listen to it and it really is remarkable. I’m not holding my breath that Musica will get it; they tried to get me to by a Neil Diamond Greatest Hits when they ran out of stock of his latest. What’s wrong with these people? Arrrrrg!

TheatreSports rocks!

filling out forms

  1. Megan, you can get it delivered to your house within 10 working days, ordering on – don’t get mad, get DIGImade! I have stopped bothering with those ridiculous earthling shops, with their snooty, uncaring staff. I do read book at Exclushit, and listen to music, but when it comes to buying… I click click. Click click.

problem is, amazon don’t deliver to SA no more. apparently, they got sick of too much post being stolen. go figger.

  3. does deliver to RSA. Personally, I prefer; unless they tell me they’re unable to find it. The bottom line is that physical (offline) shops battle to deliver services (often due to ineffective human service givers on the floor). As a result, they are disintermediated by online providers. I still love visiting shops and see products for myself, then I go home, do some comparative shopping – and buy what I need online.

  4. Lauren

During the Grammy’s Musica was advertising the CD for R149, so you should be able to get it…
